From The Rubber Chicken
That Web Store That Ripped Us Off When We Tried To Buy Brett A Microphone (TWSTRUOWWTTBBAM) is a Western Australia-based store specialising in electronics and computer gear, from whom The Rubber Chicken attempted to purchase a Logitech USB Desktop Microphone, and who took the money and absconded with it for a month before returning it on request.

Introduction
In early January, 2008, The Rubber Chicken announced its intention to purchase a microphone for Brett. Brett had been lax with his podcast recordings (understandable, given his unconscionably hectic schedule), and this was part of a continuing campaign of nagging reminders that he had requested The Rubber Chicken give him. (Other reminders included incessant texting of the message "Recorded yet, Bung?", flaming bags of dog feces left on his front porch, and kidnapping him in the dead of the night and brutally beating him with a sack full of rusty knives.)
It was hoped that sending him a microphone, unannounced, would provide a friendly and humorous reminder to get the hell back to work.
Microphone Selection
It was decided early on that Brett would be sent a Logitech USB Desktop Microphone. Alastair had purchased one several years earlier and The Rubber Chicken has always been extremely happy with the quality of sound it produces, and the ease of use of its convenient USB interface. Brett, it was reasoned, would have no excuse not to record if it would be this easy and the results would be so good.
Shopping Experience
As the microphone was no longer available from Amazon.com, the store Alastair purchased it from, it was decided that StaticIce, a highly useful Australian search engine for web stores selling electronics and computer gear, would be used to locate a fair selling price for the microphone.
As Brett is located within the western portion of Australia, it was decided that a Western Australian-based store would be the best place to make the purchase, as the delivery time would be rapid and shipping costs would be low. The transaction was made.
Failure of Delivery
As the microphone had not arrived a full month after the order had been made, Alastair contacted them querying its absence. In the course of his correspondence and research on the matter, he discovered, to The Rubber Chicken's dismay, that the store had an unfortunate reputation for happily selling items they had no stock of (and failing to advertise that fact, or provide an ETA for new stock), and were stubborn in the extreme when it came to the matter of refunds.
Resolution
Roughly fifteen (15) minutes after this entry was initially published, Alastair received an email from TWSTRUOWWTTBBAM offering him a refund. The matter was swiftly closed, to the satisfaction of everyone involved. A direct result of this Wiki page's harsh but fair criticism? YOU DECIDE.
